    The Silk Road tour is a trip to stir the imagination and fulfill your dreams of classic overland travel. Two thousand years ago traders set off to journey between the great empires of China, India, Persia and Rome. Known as the Silk Road, this route was eventually lost, its memory remaining only in legends. Now you can retrace those footsteps on this epic odyssey that stretches over 4,000km from Beijing to Kashgar, passing through many important centers along this ancient trade route.


    Day 1  Arrive in Xi'an


    Met by your guide and taken to hotel. Welcome dinner.

    Day 2  Xi'an


    Visit Terracotta Warriors, these entombed statues are considered one of the most important archaeological finds of the century. Over 6,000 of them were individually sculpted from clay, each having a different costume, height and even facial expression;Stone Tablets Temple, ancient City Wall. Special dumpling dinner. Stay in Xi’an.

    Option: To browse the night markets in search of souvenirs as your wishes.

    Day 3 Xi'an to Dunhuang


    In the morning visit the 240-foot-high Big Wild Goose. Afternoon flight to Dunhuang. Stay in Dunhuang.

    Day 4  Dunhuang


    Early morning experience the sunrise over desert sand dunes and see Crescent Lake. Stay in Dunhuang.

    Option: Riding a camel to the sites.


    Day 5 Dunhuang/Turpan


    Spend most of the day to visit the nearby Mogao Caves, which house some of the best Buddhist murals in the world. Afterwards drive to take a bullet train to Turpan (3.5Hrs). Stay in Turpan.

    Day 6  Turpan


    Visit Astana Tombs (40 mins away), which are located in the Gobi Desert;Karez system of irrigation and ancient city of Gaochang. Local. Uyger family visiting is a special experience for you to know their lifestyle in the fire land. Evening Uygur folk dance performance.

    Day 7  Turpan to Hotan via Urumqi


    Visit the Emin Minaret (Song Gong Ta Tower), afterwards drive three hours to Urumqi then fly across the Taklamakan Desert to Hotan. Stay in Hotan.


    Day  8  Hotan


    Hotan, famous for its jade, carpets, embroidery, and silk (examples of the area's silk weavings can be seen in many Xinjiang museums). Visit the famous Sunday market and Rawal Temple Runis and some hand-make workshop. Stay in Hotan.


    Day 9  Hotan to Kashgar


    A long Journey day drive to Kashgar via Yarkand (7-8Hrs). Stay in Kashgar.


    Day 10 Kashgar


    Visit Kashgar Old City and Sunday Bazaar if time is right.  Afternoon drive to Karakol Lake. Overnight in Yurt. 


    Day 11 Karakol Lake and Muztag Ata Mountain


    Walking tour on the lake side, visit Kirghizes village. Drive back to Kashgar.


    Day  12 Kashgar to Urumqi


    Visit the tomb of Abakh Hoja and the Mosque. Afternoon flight to Urumqi.


    Day  13  Urumqi/Onward


    Transfer to airport. Trip ends of here.
