Over 6,000 of them were individually sculpted from clay, each having a different costume, height and even facial expression. They are standing in battle formation, facing east in order to protect the tomb of China's first emperor, the great Qin Shihuang. You will also visit Banpo Neolithic Village, the actual archaeological site of a 6,000-year-old Neolithic village and the ancient Imperial Hot Spring Baths, an imperial resort for 1,200 years. A visit to the bustling countryside open markets is a great place to purchase souvenirs. In the evening, enjoy a Shaanxi specialty banquet with either Mongolian beef barbecue or dumplings.
